Good enough?

Personal Coach Savannah Mayfield poses an important question.
These past few weeks as my husband has been doggedly working to complete a project for his videography business, my toddler and I have been adjusting to a life where we only see him for glimpses during the day and snuggles deep in the night.
It’s funny what you get used to.
My husband was joking about how the other night when he got five whole hours of sleep, he felt like it was a full night’s rest. His body is learning to run on fumes. I remember that feeling from the last year of sleep deprivation with my little guy.
It made me wonder what other areas in my life are just good enough? Where am I settling?
As busy mamas, we have a tendency to get comfortable with the status quo. It can be so easy to slip into unhealthy patterns in relationships because they are familiar even when they are no longer loving or fulfilling. Or getting up every day to go to a job that pays the bills but doesn’t allow you to use your gifts or bring personal meaning to the world. And how many people are so used to feeling tired and “off” that they stop even wondering what it might be like to feel healthy and vital?
I believe we can have more than just good enough. I believe you and I can create our own best versions of our lives. It is a fine balance between being present and accepting what is and moving forward and claiming what can be.
I have been struggling with a physical health challenge this past year and while it has improved, I have gotten used to the feeling of niggling pain and tiredness. But, I know I can have more. So, today, I making a call to my ND to continue to explore healing. I don’t just want to feel okay. I want to feel strong and connected in my body.
So I will leave you with this question:
In your own life, what action can you take or intention can you set that will invite the possibility of more than just good enough?
