Turning a breech baby

Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga Educator and mama of two, Camille Mülchi recommends a Portland resource for turning breech babies.
One issue that has come up many times over the years for students is a “lotus baby”-a baby who is breech. In these instances, I recommend a number of things to try on our Ask the Expert question about turning breech babies. At the top of the list for Portland resources is Dr. Mary Grabowska.
Dr. Grabowska is a naturopathic physician, a licensed midwife and an acupuncturist. I might add to that impressive resume: “baby-spinner!” While obviously, every mama and baby pair are unique, and some babies have wonderfully strong wills (and their own wisdom) with regard to their position in the womb—if the conditions are safe and appropriate for them to turn, Dr. Grabowska can generally get them to do it! Once again, I have referred LOTS of mamas her way, and her success rate in encouraging breech babes to turn is significantly high. More importantly, even for the mamas whose little ones DON’T turn, the feedback about their experience with Dr. Grabowska has always been extremely positive.
